Jill Tressler

    Jill was born in Glasgow, Montana and is proud to call herself a Montana native. She attended college in Billings, Bozeman, and Flagstaff, Arizona, where she graduated with a B.A. from Northern Arizona University and a certification from the American Bar Association.

    Jill has worked in the legal profession for nearly 30 years throughout the state of Montana. She began her career as District Judge Leonard Langen’s paralegal and assistant in Valley County, and subsequently worked for large, multi-faceted firms in Helena and Billings. She has spent the last 18 years in Bozeman, focusing on litigation, real estate, water rights and probate. She has also worked as a licensed real estate agent and as a licensed appraiser trainee.

    Jill is also an avid fly fisherwoman, having spent her formative years at a cabin on the Stillwater River in Absarokee fishing with her dad and mentor, Byron. She enjoys fishing and recreating in the Gallatin Valley, and frequently travels to enjoy the waters of Northwest Montana. Jill has a daughter, Mati, who graduated from UM and lives in Missoula, and two beloved Shar Pei companions, Jagger and Brogan, who are her trail running buddies.
