PROPERTY INSURANCE
Property insurance provides reimbursement in the event of damage or theft of real or personal property. If you have homeowners insurance, renters insurance, flood insurance, or earthquake insurance, and you suffer the relevant damage or theft, then your insurance company is required to investigate the damage, determine whether it is covered under the policy, and pay you the proper value.
Unfortunately, property insurance companies frequently deny or undervalue claims. Property insurers must investigate claims in a timely fashion, construe coverage in their insureds’ favor and hold their insureds’ interests equal to their own. If insurers unreasonably deny claims, they are acting in bad faith under Montana law.
Western Justice attorneys have extensive experience handling property insurance and bad faith cases. See our Results page for examples. If you believe that your insurance company has treated you unfairly, contact us for a free consultation.
